2006 Drawing for Weightlessness Flight at Florida Space Exhibit
Florida exhibit
to have 20 partners at National Symposium
March 7,
CAPE CANAVERAL, FL – Have you ever dreamed of flying like superman?
This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity just might be yours if you visit the Florida
Space Exhibit at the National Space Symposium (NSS), April 3-6, in Colorado Springs,
Col.
A drawing for a Weightlessness Flight on Zero Gravity’s Boeing 727
aircraft named G-FORCE ONE™ will be given to one lucky NSS participant.
The free drawing will be held on April 6.
The Weightless Flight experience
involves training with an expert flight coach and then boarding G-FORCE
ONE™ to fly a parabolic flight maneuver. Specially trained pilots fly these
maneuvers between approximately 24,000 and 34,000 feet altitude. Each parabola
takes 10 miles of airspace to perform and lasts approximately one minute
from start to finish.
Twenty Florida space-related businesses are joining the Florida
Space Authority as exhibit partners at the NSS. The Florida Space Exhibit
invites all NSS participants to visit booth #505, sign up for the drawing,
and learn about the programs and services offered by these key space-related
companies including Zero Gravity, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical
University/TeachSpace,
Enterprise Florida Inc., Lunar Rocket & Rover Co. Inc., the 2006 Florida
Space Business Award Winner, 321 MediaGroup, Astronaut Memorial Foundation,
Belmont Publishing, Brandt Ronat & Company, BRPH, C&C International Computers
and Consultants, Coleman Aerospace, Creative Management Technology, Inc.,
Dynamac, Florida Aerospace Finance Corp., Florida Tech, SpaceTEC, SGT, Inc.,
United Paradyne Corporation and Wyle Labs.
“We are excited about offering this opportunity for a lucky NSS participant
to experience weightlessness, like the astronauts do in space,”
said CAPT Winston Scott, Florida Space Authority executive director and former
astronaut. “We invite all NSS participants to visit the Florida Space exhibit
and meet our space-related partners who are joining us at the Symposium.”
