Scholarships

Army ROTC at Embry-Riddle offers the following scholarships to those who qualify.

On-campus scholarships are awarded after a student has enrolled in Army ROTC, applied for and qualified for the scholarship. Campus-based scholarships pay for tuition and fees, (it does not pay for flight fees), a monthly stipend for 10 months, and a book allowance each semester.  The breakdown is as follows:

*Monthly Stipend is for 10 months each year. Stipends are as follows. Ex $300 for Freshman, $350 for Sophomores, $450 for Juniors, $500 for Seniors.

High School Seniors are encouraged to apply for the Army ROTC Four Year program. If a Senior is awarded a four-year or three-year Advance Designee scholarship while still in high school, they will receive the same scholarship as campus-based scholarships AND a room and board scholarship (minimum of $7,000 annually) from Embry-Riddle which will activate when the scholarship goes into effect. Some cadets opt to go to basic camp and sign up for Army ROTC as a sophmore, then continue the junior and senior years as a contracted cadet. Non-scholarship contracted cadets receive a monthly stipend for 10 months.

All applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a U.S. citizen
  • Be under 27 years of age the year of college graduation (waivers possible for prior service)
  • Meet required physical standards
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
  • Have a minimum SAT score of 920 or an ACT composite score of 19 (for 3AD and 4 year scholarships)

The Army ROTC Green to Gold Scholarship Program provides selected active duty enlisted members of the Army an opportunity to complete their baccalaureate degree requirements and obtain a commission through participation in the ROTC scholarship program.
