If you want slack... bring it with you!!! ROTC stands for Reserve Officer's Training Corps. ROTC is a course you can take, freshman through senior year, which teaches leadership and leads to a commission in the U.S. Army. Leadership is a quality few people are born with, yet so many have exhibited it throughout history. No one has better personified the true art of leadership than the United States Army Officer. In fact, many of our most prominent leaders, people who have helped shape the course of world history, started out as Army officers. Army officers have proven they are among America's bravest, brightest, and best. But how does the making of an Army officer begin? It begins with someone who has the desire to be a leader, and has the motivation to lead young men and women in America's Army. Army ROTC at Embry-Riddle will allow you to make life long friends, give you leadership skills for the Army and for life, give you increased confidence, and will allow you to serve your country and community. Leadership ClassesFreshman and sophomore cadets attend one hour of classroom instruction, plus a two hour Leadership Lab per week. Junior and senior cadets attend three hours of classroom instruction, plus a two hour Leadership Lab per week. Additionally, physical fitness training is conducted from one to three times per week.
