Prescott Summer Career Exploration Programs

Flight Expo 2009

Flight Expo Students with one of the Embry-Riddle trainers

Alpha Camp - June 28 - July 3

Bravo Camp - July 19-24

Charlie Camp - July 26 - 31

Take to the skies during this 6-day camp with an Embry-Riddle Flight Instructor in one of our Cessna Trainers and try your hand at flight maneuvers every pilot needs to know!

Learn how the plane responds to your control inputs and discover both the ease and the challenges of becoming a pilot. Just like our Embry-Riddle flight students, you will be partnered with another participant who will alternate with you between flying and observing a “leg” of the flight trip. Learn how to read weather reports and fly VFR (Visual Flight Rules) – but most of all – YOU FLY THE AIRPLANE!

Back on the ground, your class instruction will include basic principles of aerodynamics, navigation systems, aircraft systems and performance, plus procedures related to the safe operation of an aircraft. Take a peek at the future in one of Embry-Riddle’s cutting-edge simulators that feature an amazing 220-degree digital field of view. We will provide you a logbook for recording training hours, which can be counted toward your pilot’s license – as well as a certificate upon completion of the program.
