Program Overview

The future is to be found in this new and exciting program for the summer 2009 season. Our Computer Engineering program will introduce you to the world of robotics and machine vision. The popularity of aerobic game controls has exploded. Here you will see the building of the next generation of controls, no need for a Wii system, just box and punch naturally--no devices needed. Come learn how and why it works.


Requirements and Costs

Students must be 15-18 years of age and have a strong background in science and math. The cost for the one-week program is $950 which includes meals, lodging, and all instructional materials.


Computer Engineering Participants will learn/receive:

  • A student works on electronics during the Computer Engineering Program.How to build a machine vision system
  • Hands-on experience in programming concepts in C/C++ for real-time applications
  • Classroom presentations and speakers on the latest technology in the world of aerospace systems
  • An excellent experience that gives you a look at college life while interacting with our faculty and staff about the industry
  • A variety of recreational activities

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Prescott, AZ Campus

Set among panoramic vistas of snow-capped mountains meeting sun-swept desert canyons, the Prescott, Arizona Campus is a fully accredited 4-year university. Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is the world’s largest university specializing in aviation and aerospace studies.


Housing, Meals, and Wheels

Your Aerospace Engineering adventure will be guided by our energetic staff of current Embry-Riddle Summer Student Coordinators. You will get a taste of university living in an air-conditioned campus residence housing and enjoy buffet meals in our on-campus Dining Hall. Transportation to various events will be provided by Embry-Riddle’s University vans during the entire program. You will be responsible for transportation To & From our Embry-Riddle Prescott Campus.

Program Package Information

All housing, meals, recreational and social activities, classroom materials, and local transportation for this 6-day Aerospace Engineering Program are included in the cost of the program.

Participants will be responsible for the cost of their own transportation To and From our Prescott Campus. Additionally, due to the limited staff and housing schedules, we are UNABLE to accommodate early arrivals to the camp and late departures at the end of the camp.

An Acceptance Package will be sent to you upon the completion of the program registration process. We recommend that you arrange arrival and departure times to coincide with the Check-In and Check-Out times posted in your Acceptance Package. This package also provides information on ground and flight information between Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport and Prescott, as well as suggested hotels in the area.
