Fall 2008 Semester

Housing packets mailed from Admissions Office

April 19

Accepted Student Preview Day
Invitations sent to all students who have been accepted for admission.

May 1

Tuition Deposit Deadline
$200 tuition deposit due by May 1st.
Deposit by mail, online, or call (800) 888-3728 or (928) 777-6600 for credit card payment.

Week of May 5

Pre-Registration and math assessment information mailing sent from Admissions Office to Deposited Students.  Students who attended Accepted Student Preview Day and who are already pre-registered will not receive this mailing.

May 19 - August 15

Pre-Registration – Must have responded to materials sent in mailing above. Students not registered by August 15th will register during Orientation.

June 15

Housing Contract and $250 housing deposit deadline for guaranteed housing

Week of June 16 New Student Orientation Information mailed from Admissions Office to Deposited Students
July 2008-2009 Catalog and Financial Handbook mailed from Admissions Office as soon as available
Early July Cashier’s Forms Packet mailed from Cashier’s Office
Late July

Approximately 30 days prior to start of term, Cashier's Office will mail statements to all students who are pre-registered. Students who are not pre-registered by this billing date should contact the Cashier's Office once registered to receive a bill.

Housing will send out room assignments

August 15 Last day for pre-registration. Students not registered by August 15th will register during Orientation.

Before You Arrive:

Students receive three important forms in their Acceptance Packet:

  • Accepted Student Enrollment FormReview for important information; complete and return to Admissions Office.
  • New Student Pre-Flight ChecklistAll flight students must submit documents required by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Be sure to read this checklist thoroughly. Original documents must be presented in Records Office.
  • Medical Report Form - Immunization records including completed Medical Report Form must be on file in Health Services prior to start of semester to avoid Registration Hold, Housing Check-in Hold, Eagle Card Hold, inability to pay bill and other holds. Get clearance now to avoid delays!

August 19-20 International Student Pre-Orientation - must have Medical Clearance
August 21 Early Orientation and Housing Check-in – must have Medical Clearance “Take Care of Business” early. Students with a medical hold will have to wait until Friday, August 22nd to check in to housing or take care of other business.
August 22 New Student/Parent Orientation Check-in and Housing Check-in “Taking Care of Business” - buying books, paying bill, getting Eagle Card - student ID, parking permit, and other important details will be done on this day. Orientation program begins Saturday morning.
August 23 New Student Orientation
"Parent Track" Orientation (concludes 4:00pm)
August 25 Fall 2008 Classes Begin
September 1 Holiday - Labor Day
October 2 - 4 OctoberWest Weekend
October 10 Mid Semester Break (no classes, campus open)
November 11 Holiday - Veteran's Day
November 26 - 28 Thanksgiving Holiday
December 4 Last Day of Classes
December 5 Study Day
December 6, 8-11 Final Exams
December 12 Residence Halls Close at noon for holiday break (will re-open 10:00am on January 5th)
December 13 Commencement
