Prescott Campus Admissions
Returning Student Application Checklist
(U.S. citizen or permanent resident):
A student whose attendance at the University is interrupted is required
to apply for readmission. You are a returning student if you have enrolled
at another institution without prior written approval, fail to enroll
in at least one Embry-Riddle course within a two calendar year period,
or have been suspended from the University. To be readmitted, students
must:
- Fill out and submit the application. You can complete
the application online or download a copy and submit an application
by mail. Call us at 800-888-3728 or 928-777-6600 to request an application.
- If a returning student has taken college level courses during
this period, transcripts from those schools must
be submitted to Embry-Riddle.
- $50 non-refundable application fee
If you are applying online, you will be given the option to submit
your application fee electronically. If you are submitting a paper
application, include a check or money order made payable to Embry-Riddle
Aeronautical University. Please print your name and phone
number on the check and submit it with your application.
-
If you have been out of school for two years or more, you may be required to submit written documentation.
- Letters of recommendation. Letters from a teacher or employer can address areas of your background that are not always evident in your academic record. We suggest you submit two letters of recommendation. Forms are available for your convenience and you can download them here in PDF format. The forms are optional, written letters of recommendation submitted by your references that are acceptable.
Optional Information
- Admission essay. While an essay is not required for admission, it may help us to assess your qualifications. You may include an essay when you submit your application package.
- Interviews. An interview may be scheduled with an admissions counselor. This interview is not required. We can gain similar information from your letters of recommendation. If you are unable to visit campus, contact the admissions office or click here (link to area events) for a list of events in your area.
- Resume. Though not required, we appreciate your academic and extra-curricular activities to be summarized in a resume format to include accomplishments, activities, awards, honors, employment, etc.
Flight students must also submit a copy of their FAA medical certificate
before they may be enrolled in flight classes. Although these medical
certifications are not required to be admitted to the University, we
highly recommend that you secure your medical certificate and submit
it directly to the admissions office before you arrive on campus.
