Department of Physics

Space Physics Students

Space Physics Students come from a wide range of backgrounds and have a wide range of interests.

The campus offers different activities that many of our students are involved in:

  • Space Physics students in a labSociety of Physics Students: The Society of Physics Students is a club on campus for all Space Physics majors, or anyone else who has an interest in physics. The club takes physics-oriented trips in the surrounding area and meets with other SPS chapters every semester.
  • Sigma Pi Sigma: Sigma Pi Sigma is the National Physics Honor Society, sponsered by the American Physical Society. Students in high academic standing are invited to join. Members do public outreach to increase interest and understanding of all types of physics.
