Mission Statement

Embry-Riddle's Mathematics and Computer Science Department provides unique and high quality programs leading to a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Science The current mission of the Mathematics and Computer Science Department at Embry-Riddle is to provide unique and high quality programs to support all degrees offered by the University.

The department also offers several minors in mathematics, computer science, computer applications and, in the future, computer security. In addition, we serve the university community by providing mathematics and computer science courses related to aeronautical sciences, engineering, and the other fields of study offered by the university.

The department further desires to implement a Bachelor’s of Science degree, as well as Master’s of Science degree in Mathematics in the near future. We are strongly committed to scholarly activities and excellence in teaching. Faculty members have a wide range of specialization in their research areas, pure mathematics through applied computer science, with which to share their knowledge and provide the highest quality education of our students.
