The Right Choice for Improving your English

Embry-Riddle Language Institute's intensive English program prepares students for life in a university environment. However, the program is also well-suited to people who wish simply to raise their overall skill level in English. TOEFL preparation is integrated into all our classes and TOEFL preparation software is available in our computer lab as well.

Our classes are divided into the main language skill areas; levels include beginning through advanced. Our clases are small to ensure more individualized instruction. We accept new students three times a year, in January, May and August. We appreciate your contacting us 4 to 6 weeks ahead of time, so that we can receive your application forms and send you an I-20 which you will need to apply for your student visa.

$50.00 Application fee (non-refundable)
$100.00 deposit (refundable)

Application Process

Please send the completed application and all required documents with a $150.00 deposit to:

After we receive all your application materials, we will issue you an I-20. You need to take the I-20 to a U.S. embassy or consulate to get a student visa (an F-1) which allows you to enter the United States. We will express mail you the I-20 as soon as possible, but sometimes it can take 2 weeks or more if there are problems. So send us your application materials as early as you can. If you have a question about the application process, please contact us.

University fees ($600) include the following:

International Student Services: This fee is for the support of information, counseling, sports and other student activities.
Student Government Association: This fee is for the support of campuswide news and events and for library services.
Technology Fee: This fee is for the support of the campuswide effort to increase the level of technology available to all university students.
Health Services Fee: This fee supports the Health Services office on campus, which provides daily medical services to the University.

The University Housing Office ($2,550 per semester), but apply early to reserve a room.
Private apartments starting from $700 per month

NOTE: If you choose to live off campus, you must find housing on your own. An apartment locator service can help you.
