Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) student chapter

Welcome to the Web site for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) student chapter. In this site you'll find information on ERAU's chapter activities, student member contact and resume information, as well as links for information about Human Factors careers, education, and other resources. We usually meet every other Monday evening at 5:30pm in the 3rd Floor Conference Room of the Lehman Engineering Center, near the Human Factors Department.

About HFES

The Human Factors and Ergonomics Society is an interdisplinary professional association of more than 5000 people involved in the human factors/ergonomics field. It is the largest organization of such professionals in the world.

Since its formation in 1957, the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society has promoted the discovery and exchange of human factors/ergonomics knowledge, as well as education and training for students and practitioners.

The Human Factors and Ergonomics Society is part of the International Ergonomics Association, a federation of similar organizations around the world.

Within the Society are 18 technical specialty groups representing the diverse areas in which ergonomics professionals are employed. In addition, members affiliate with more than 50 regional chapters.

Where and When we meet:

The ERAU HFES usually meets every other Monday evening at 5:30pm in the 3rd Floor Conference Room of the Lehman Engineering Center, near the Human Factors Department.

The HFES events are generally designed to be an opportunity for the students to discover and exchange human factors and ergonomics knowledge with peers and human factors professionals. How to become a member & maintain active membership status:

Becoming a member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society student chapter is easy. First, you need to have an interest in the field and a desire to learn more about it. You also need to be a student at Embry-Riddle University. Finally, you need to complete an application and pay the annual dues.
