The Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (BSCE) and the Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering (BSSE) are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc. (ABET). ABET reviews and approves engineering and technology programs in the United States.

Computer Engineering Program Educational Objectives for the Daytona Beach Campus
The Program Educational Objectives of the Computer Engineering program as offered at the Daytona Beach campus are that our graduates:
- Effectively analyze, design, and implement computer systems, including embedded, real-time, and safety-critical computer systems.
- Demonstrate professionalism in their work and grow professionally through continued learning and involvement in professional activities.
- Contribute to society by behaving ethically and responsibly.
- Communicate effectively in oral, written, and newly developing modes and media.
- Successfully assume a variety of roles in teams of diverse membership.
While Program Educational Objectives 2-5 are appropriate for almost every engineering discipline, Program Educational Objective 1 is particular to computer engineering and to the Department of Computer and Software Engineering's focus on embedded, real-time, and safety-critical systems for instructional and research purposes.
