Daytona Beach Campus - College of Engineering Department of Aerospace Engineering CareersCareers for graduates with a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering degree:Graduates of Aerospace Engineering are given a wide array of courses within their study to provide them with the necessary tools for industry. Whether it is helping to design the International Space Station or the next generation General Aviation Aircraft, an Aerospace Engineer is ready to meet the challenges of today and the dreams of tomorrow.
Careers for graduates with a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering (MSAE) degree:The Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering (MSAE) degree is the thesis option for the Aerospace Engineering graduate track. A graduate with an MSAE is given background with adequate depth in areas of aeroacoustics, nondestructive testing, aerodynamics, design and optimization, propulsion, aerospace structures, composite structures, computational fluid dynamics, or other areas of aerospace engineering. In addition to the regular course work, a thesis project is required for an MSAE given them a more in-depth study of their specialty. Their interests can lead them into more specialized jobs within the aerospace engineering profession or they can continue on to doctoral studies.
Careers for graduates with a Master of Aerospace Engineering degree:The Master in Aerospace Engineering (MAE) degree is the non-thesis option for the Aerospace Engineering graduate track. A graduate with an MAE is given background with adequate depth in areas of aeroacoustics, nondestructive testing, aerodynamics, design and optimization, propulsion, aerospace structures, composite structures, computational fluid dynamics, or other areas of aerospace engineering. The non-thesis option is a more practical approach allowing a graduate to move into a more specialized job within the aerospace engineering profession should they choose not to pursue a doctoral degree.
