Mission Statement

It is the purpose of the Applied Aviation Sciences (AAS) Department to enhance the aviation and aerospace industry by providing the highest quality academic and professional programs that prepare our graduates for productive careers.

The department offers aviation related undergraduate and graduate degree programs that prepare students for immediate productivity as well as career growth while providing a broad-based education with emphases on communication and analytical skills.

AAS engages in applied research and other scholarly activities that support and enhance the intellectual and professional growth of our students, faculty, and staff.

The department serves the student, college, university, and external community in support of the university's stated mission.
