SEVIS (Student and Exchange Visitor Information
System)
Embry-Riddle is authorized under federal laws to enroll nonimmigrant
alien students. An international applicant is defined as a nonresident,
non-immigrant person entering the United States on F-1 or J-1 student
visas. All I-20’s are issued through the Student and Exchange Visitor
Information System (SEVIS), which is a governmental computerized system
to maintain and manage data related to foreign students and exchange
visitors during their stay in the United States. This system allows
for real-time access to this information and assists students in complying
with the terms of their visas. International Students are required to
comply with all SEVIS requirements. For more information about SEVIS,
please refer to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Web
site at http://www.ice.gov/sevis/
No person acting within the scope of his or her authority and responsibility
at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University shall discriminate on the basis
of race, creed, color, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, age,
marital or veteran status, or disability.
The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus
Crime Statistics Act, Public Law #101-542, requires all colleges and
universities in the United States to provide literature to prospective
students, upon request, which relates crime statistics and the nature
of the protection afforded students and their property at that college.
This law also requires each institution to provide every person who
submits an application, and to all enrolled students and employees,
information regarding the institution’s security policies and procedures.
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is in full compliance with this
law and such information is available through its Campus Safety departments.
