Daytona Beach, Fla., Sept. 10, 2010 -- Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is proud to announce the return of its spectacular Wings and Waves Air Show over the Atlantic Ocean in beautiful Daytona Beach, Fla. The university is the event’s title sponsor.

Snowbirds Performing The show will take place on Oct. 9 and 10 off the Daytona Beach shoreline, centered in front of the Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort. The show begins at 11 a.m. daily and admission is free and open to the public.

The air show’s feature attraction will be aerobatic performances by the Snowbirds. The Snowbirds Demonstration Team (431 Squadron) is a Canadian icon, composed of serving members of the Canadian Forces. Their pilots and technicians work as a team to bring thrilling performances to the North American public.

The Snowbirds are celebrating their 40th anniversary this season. Serving as Canadian ambassadors, the Snowbirds demonstrate the high level of professionalism, teamwork, excellence, discipline, and dedication inherent in the women and men of the Canadian Forces.

Pilots at Attention Florida Agriculture Commissioner Charles H. Bronson will preside as grand marshal of the event.
