Embry-Riddle Plans Campus Talent Show

Daytona Beach, Feb. 3, 2010 -- From a standup comedian to a Chinese red-ribbon dancer, a talent show at Embry-Riddle’s Daytona Beach campus will showcase the skills of students, faculty, and staff.

“Riddle’s Got Talent!” is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 10, at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of Embry-Riddle’s Willie Miller Instructional Center, 600 S. Clyde Morris Blvd. An offering of the Spring 2010 Arts & Letters Series, this evening of entertainment is free and open to the public.

The talent show’s 15 acts include a jazz quartet, a rock band, a singer/guitarist, a theatrical singer, a break dancer, and a magician. Student organizations that will participate are the AcaFellas and AcaBellas singing groups and the Riddle Players Drama Club. Dr. Libbie Searcy will perform a monologue about a character who is a breast cancer survivor. She and Dr. Linda Straubel, humanities professors, are the organizers of the event.
