The board of directors oversees and directs strategic visioning and policy making for ABET, which accredits college and university programs in applied science, computing, engineering, and technology. Embry-Riddle’s College of Engineering has seven ABET-accredited degree programs: aerospace engineering, engineering physics, mechanical engineering, computer engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, and software engineering. In 2006, Ramsay designed and implemented Embry-Riddle’s bachelor’s degree program in homeland security, which now has more than 230 students. Ramsay earned a bachelor of science from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point in 1984, and an MBA and a Ph.D. in Health Services Research from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 1988 and 1994. Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, the world’s largest, fully accredited university specializing in aviation and aerospace, offers more than 30 undergraduate and graduate degree programs in its colleges of Arts and Sciences, Aviation, Business, and Engineering. The university educates more than 34,000 students annually at residential campuses in Prescott, Ariz., and Daytona Beach, Fla., through the Worldwide Campus at more than 150 locations in the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, and through online learning.
