Embry-Riddle Plans Halloween Carnival for Local Children

Daytona Beach, Fla., Oct. 15, 2010 -- Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University will provide a safe evening of trick-or-treating during the Housing & Residence Life’s annual Halloween Spooktacular Event on Sunday, Oct. 31.

Hungry little ghosts and goblins can fill their bags and baskets with candy in McKay Hall from 5-7 p.m. During the same time period, a carnival specially designed for children will be held in the same area of campus. The carnival will feature face painting, a fortune teller, crafts, games, and light refreshments.

The event is free and open to the public, and Embry-Riddle students and staff will oversee the activities. Parents should accompany their children and provide them with a container to put their goodies in.

Embry-Riddle is located at 600 S. Clyde Morris Blvd. in Daytona Beach. Parking will be directed by campus safety officers at the intersection of Richard Petty Boulevard and Flight Line Road, which is near the intersection of Richard Petty Boulevard and Clyde Morris Boulevard.
