Public Event Features Keynote Speaker Brian France, NASCAR Chairman and CEO

Daytona Beach, Fla., March 23, 2009 -- Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University will host the 2009 Annual Leadership Institute, an intensive day-long program of lectures and workshops to help participants build leadership, business, and personal skills. The program, organized by Leadership Enhancement Program scholars from Embry-Riddle, Bethune-Cookman University, and the University of Central Florida, will feature keynote speaker Brian France, NASCAR CEO and chairman. Free and open to business professionals, educators, and student leaders, the program will cover a wide variety of topics, including conflict resolution, team-building, diversity issues, politics in the workplace, grant-writing, and stress management.

DETAILS
Attendees will have the opportunity to experience Embry-Riddle’s Wright Flyer Simulator, which simulates the Wright brothers’ historic flight at Kitty Hawk, N.C., just over 100 years ago. A campus tour, raffles, and breakfast and lunch are also included.

The Leadership Enhancement Program is a consortium program directed by the Offices of Diversity Initiatives at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and the University of Central Florida, and the Human Resources Office of Bethune-Cookman University. The program was created to foster and develop leadership potential and skills in women and ethnic/racial minorities at all levels of these universities.
