Leading Aviation/Aerospace and High-Tech Employers Scheduled for Embry-Riddle Industry/Career Expo

Daytona Beach, Fla., Oct. 15, 2009 -- Jobseekers pursuing professional positions in the aviation and aerospace industry are invited to expand their horizons at Embry-Riddle’s 2009 Industry/Career Expo, one of the largest of its kind in the nation, attracting top employers in aviation, aerospace, business, engineering, and other high-tech fields.

National and international employers participating in the event this year include The Boeing Company, Continental Airlines, Jamco America Inc., Northrop Grumman Corp., Procter & Gamble, Alsalam Aircraft Co., EADS (European Aeronautic Defense and Space), Garmin International Inc., NAVAIR (Naval Air Systems Command), and the U.S. Department of State.

The Industry/Career Expo will be held 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 4, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5, in the ICI Center at Embry-Riddle’s Daytona Beach campus, 600 S. Clyde Morris Blvd. The annual event, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by Embry-Riddle’s Career Services Office.

“We’re very pleased with the quality of the companies exhibiting this year, and we expect various career opportunities for our students and alumni,” said Lisa Scott Kollar, Career Services executive director. “Job candidates should bring their resumes and be prepared to discuss career opportunities with industry leaders.”
