EVENT
The Fan Dance – Symbolizing happiness A lecture and a question-and-answer session will follow the performance. Topics will include the history of the Year of the Ox; the origin of Chinese New Year; facts about the Chinese astrology calendar; and the use of animal symbolism in Asian culture. Embry-Riddle students from China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam will discuss their traditional celebrations. This event is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the University Office of Diversity Initiatives.
