2007 National Training Aircraft Meeting Focus: Innovation in Air Traffic Management

Daytona Beach, Fla., Feb. 5, 2007 -- Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University will convene the 2007 National Training Aircraft Symposium March 19-22 on its Daytona Beach campus. The theme of the annual event is “The View from 2010: Air Traffic Management Innovation.”

This year’s meeting, sponsored by Embry-Riddle’s College of Aviation at Daytona Beach, will spotlight developments in navigation and air traffic management from the cockpit.

“Air traffic management innovation is the key to maintaining the capacity of our aviation system in the face of growing traffic and diversification of air transportation services,” says Tim Brady, dean of the College of Aviation.

“This year, the symposium will bring together manufacturers of training equipment with universities, FBOs, and professional providers of training,” Brady says. “It will be a one-stop shop, where the latest aircraft, simulation, avionics, and training innovations are available for investigation and adoption by training institutions.”

At the symposium, Embry-Riddle’s Pinnacle Award also will be presented for significant contributions made by an individual, a corporation, and an organization in the area of air traffic management.
