Gary Allan Brings a Little Bit of Country to Embry-Riddle
Allan has produced seven albums -- Used Heart For Sale, It Would Be You, the blockbuster Smoke Rings In The Dark, Alright Guy, See If I Care, Tough All Over, and his latest release, Gary Allan: Greatest Hits -- and has sold over 5 million records. Rolling Stone says, “A gifted versatile singer such as the California-born Allan … is a rare find,” while Entertainment Weekly states, “The music of California honky-tonker Allan has always set itself apart with a dark, dreamy vibe and an edge of hypnotic danger.” The concert is sponsored by Touch-N-Go Productions, the student-run entertainment division of Embry-Riddle’s Student Government Association. The show, which is general admission only and standing room only, will be held at Embry-Riddle’s Daytona Beach campus, 600 S. Clyde Morris Blvd., in the Cochran parking lot. Food, drinks, cameras, and recording devices are prohibited. Tickets are general admission, $20; military with ID, $10; students of Bethune-Cookman University, Daytona Beach Community College, and Stetson University, $10 with ID; Embry-Riddle students, faculty, and staff are admitted free with Eagle Card and may bring three free guests per card; Embry-Riddle accepted students also get in free. Tickets can be purchased from Touch-N-Go at (386) 226-6047 or www.touch-n-go.org; in person at the Embry-Riddle Information Center in the John Paul Riddle Student Center (8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday); or the day of the show.
