Embry-Riddle’s Extended Campus Opens New Classroom Location in Denver, Colorado

Daytona Beach, Fla., Dec. 22, 2005 -- Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Extended Campus is opening a new classroom location in Denver on Monday, Jan. 9. The new teaching location, which is an extension of Embry-Riddle’s Colorado Springs Center, is being established to meet the needs of the military and civilian aviation workforce, and the upcoming presence of Southwest Airlines in Denver.

The classroom will be located at the Stapleton Business Plaza, 3401 Quebec St., across from the United Airlines training facility.

“This area will accommodate students from Centennial Airport, Denver International Airport, Buckley Air Force Base, and of course the United Airlines training facility,” said Rufina Butler, center director of Operations for Colorado Springs, Fort Carson.

For more than 30 years the Extended Campus of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University has created basic and advanced educational opportunities for working professionals and members of the armed forces.

“The Extended Campus is student-centered, offering management, technical management, aviation and aeronautical, airframe power plant, and space studies,” Butler said.

Embry-Riddle, the world’s largest, fully accredited university specializing in aviation and aerospace, offers more than 30 degree programs in its colleges of Arts and Sciences, Aviation, Business, and Engineering and meets the needs of students and industry through its educational, training, research, and consulting activities. Embry-Riddle educates more than 30,000 students annually in undergraduate and graduate programs at residential campuses in Prescott, Ariz., and Daytona Beach, Fla., through the Extended Campus at more than 130 centers in the United States, Canada, Europe, and the Middle East, and through distance learning.
