Embry-Riddle Unveils New School of Corporate Training and Professional Development

Daytona Beach, Fla., March 6, 2003 - - Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's new School of Corporate Training and Professional Development provides programs tailored to individual customers anywhere in the world through the university's Extended Campus. The program will offer nondegree, certificate, and/or continuing education units.

The focus of the school is to build relationships with aviation, aerospace, and space-related businesses and organizations and work closely with people to meet workforce needs.

"Training will tie to objectives that link to the organization's business goals," said Dr. David Hosley, dean of the School of Corporate Training and Professional Development. "The result will be knowledge and skills that are measurable in terms of performance on the job and a return on investment that benefits the organization's business competencies in the marketplace."

The programs and services include courses, seminars, workshops, forums, and consulting and are designed to keep students up to date in a variety of career fields. The content is developed in consultation with industry leaders so that it is a ready resource to meet the needs of the respective organizations.

The school currently offers 26 courses of the National Business Aviation Association's (NBAA) Corporate Aviation Management Certificate Program. A number of other programs are being considered and information will be provided via the Embry-Riddle web site and various other media. These new programs should start in Spring 2003.
