Embry-Riddle Unveils New School of Corporate Training
and Professional Development
Daytona Beach, Fla., March 6, 2003 - - Embry-Riddle
Aeronautical University's new School of Corporate Training
and Professional Development provides programs tailored
to individual customers anywhere in the world through the
university's Extended Campus. The program will offer nondegree,
certificate, and/or continuing education units.
The focus of the school is to build relationships with
aviation, aerospace, and space-related businesses and
organizations and work closely with people to meet workforce
needs.
"Training will tie to objectives that link to the organization's
business goals," said Dr. David Hosley, dean of the School
of Corporate Training and Professional Development. "The
result will be knowledge and skills that are measurable
in terms of performance on the job and a return on investment
that benefits the organization's business competencies
in the marketplace."
The programs and services include courses, seminars,
workshops, forums, and consulting and are designed to
keep students up to date in a variety of career fields.
The content is developed in consultation with industry
leaders so that it is a ready resource to meet the needs
of the respective organizations.
The school currently offers 26 courses of the National
Business Aviation Association's (NBAA) Corporate Aviation
Management Certificate Program. A number of other programs
are being considered and information will be provided
via the Embry-Riddle web site and various other media.
These new programs should start in Spring 2003.
