Embry-Riddle Honors Atlantic Southeast Airlines, Aviall, and Bausch & LombDaytona Beach, Fla., Oct. 13, 2003 -- The Career Services Office at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Daytona Beach campus will honor Atlantic Southeast Airlines, Aviall, and Bausch & Lomb on Nov. 5 at the Distinguished Corporate Awards and Industry/Career Expo Reception. Distinguished Career Services Awards will be presented to Atlantic Southeast Airlines and eye-health company Bausch & Lomb. The Outstanding Corporate Partnership Award will go to Aviall, an aviation-parts distributor. Northrop Grumman, a previous award recipient, will sponsor the reception. The Distinguished Career Services Award recognizes a corporation that has contributed to the career services, human resources, and staffing profession through the advancement of knowledge, leadership, or excellence in professional practice. The award honors innovation in employer educational programs related to career services and career planning, college relations, college recruiting, cooperative education, and the orientation and employment of new college graduates. The Outstanding Corporate Partnership Award recognizes a corporation that has demonstrated a commitment to creative new programs while exemplifying the highest standard of support for Embry-Riddle through its executive involvement, alumni interaction, corporate contributions, student development, and recruiting efforts. Atlantic Southeast Airlines, Aviall, and Bausch & Lomb offer co-ops/internship programs to Embry-Riddle students and full-time job opportunities to Embry-Riddle graduates, provide sponsorships and scholarships designated for the Career Services Office, and participate in the annual Industry/Career Expo at the Daytona Beach campus. Atlantic Southeast Airlines transports more than 20,000 passengers on 800 flights daily, serving 96 airports in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
