Embry-Riddle to Offer Safety and Security Certificate
Course
Daytona Beach, Fla., June 12, 2002 -- Embry-Riddle
Aeronautical University's Center for Aerospace Safety/Security
Education (CASE) will offer its Safety and Security Certificate
program Aug. 5-22 at the Prescott, Ariz., campus.
This year's CASE course offerings have proved to be invaluable
for those in aviation safety and security departments.
Enrollments have climbed steadily as flight departments
worldwide discovered the need for professional development
in safety and security issues.
CASE offers safety and security certificate courses four
times a year in Daytona Beach and Prescott. Each course
is designed to enhance and develop knowledge of safety
and security issues in a flight department through intense
case studies and on-site investigation at the Robertson
Aviation Safety Laboratory.
This year's course offerings include Advanced Accident
Investigation, Aircraft Accident Investigation and Management,
Aviation Safety Program Management, and Human Performance
in Aviation.
"This certificate program is proving vital in our new
safety and security environment," says Eric Doten, director
of CASE. "We hope the aviation industry looks to our expertise
for their professional development needs."
Participants in this year's CASE certificate program
include American Eagle Airlines, Gemini Air Cargo, the
United Nations, and, for the first time, the National
Transportation Safety Board.
