Embry-Riddle Donates Kristin Hill Painting to Boeing Capital Corporation
Boeing Capital Supports Growth of General Aviation at All Levels
New Orleans, Oct. 11, 2000 -- To commemorate the successful partnership of Boeing Capital Corporation and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in promoting growth in the general aviation industry, Embry-Riddle will donate an original Kristin Hill painting to Boeing Capital on Wednesday, Oct. 11, during the National Business Aviation Association 2000 Annual Meeting and Convention.
The painting, titled "Skyhawks and Eagles," honors the ongoing relationship between Boeing Capital and Embry-Riddle. According to Hill, who will participate in the presentation, her painting of an Embry-Riddle Cessna Skyhawk 172 in flight represents the spirit of aviation and the industry's bright future.
Embry-Riddle President George Ebbs said, "Boeing Capital has been an important aspect of our continued success. Therefore, the donation of this painting is a token of our heartfelt gratitude for their support."
In 1997, Boeing Capital announced it would provide the lease-financing package for Embry-Riddle's acquisition of Cessna 172 Skyhawk aircraft. The financial partnership included 61 of the single-engine trainer aircraft over a three-year period. The first Skyhawk was delivered in September 1997, and the fleet has been fully implemented in the university's training program.
In addition to the Skyhawks, Boeing Capital provided financial support for a number of single-engine trainer fleets for a variety of organizations. The company, which is one of the largest financiers of corporate and commercial jet aircraft in the world, was chosen by Embry-Riddle because of its shared commitment to the growth and vitality of the entire aviation industry.
"We are flattered by Embry-Riddle's gesture of appreciation. As one of the most experienced providers of quality aviation and aerospace education, Embry-Riddle is at the forefront of training our industry's future. We are extremely proud of our association with this highly respected institution," said Louis Seno, director of Business Aircraft Finance for Boeing Capital's Commercial Finance Group.
