Intel Corp. President to Speak at Embry-Riddle Commencement
Prescott, Ariz., Nov. 21, 1997 -- One hundred fourteen Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University students will take part in the fall graduation ceremony at the Activity Center on Saturday, December 13, 1997. The ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m.
Intel Corporation President and Chief Operating Officer Craig R. Barrett will be the commencement speaker. Dr. Barrett joined Intel in 1974 as its technology development manager. Founded in 1968, Intel manufactures microcomputer components, modules and boards, network communications products, and other computing systems. Dr. Barrett was an associate professor of materials science at Stanford University from 1965 to 1974 and a Fulbright fellow at Danish Technical University in Denmark in 1972. He has authored over 40 technical papers on the influence of microstructure on the properties of materials and a textbook on materials science.
