Access
Access to ERAU Archival records is provided through finding aids. WebArchives, the online archival database is the primary finding aid. Hard copy finding aids are available for some collections. Access to records is provided through University Archives staff. Records must be used in the archives reading room under the supervision of archives staff. Records are retrieved from the stacks by archives staff. Records will not leave the archives.
Access restrictions to all records, as assigned by donors or the University Archivist, will be enforced by archives staff.

Records Disposition
The University Archives staff works with university and college administration, and department staff to construct records disposition schedules. Responsibility rests with assigned department staff to ensure transfer of records to the University Archives.
Photocopying Policy
All photocopying of archival materials is done by archives staff. A charge of .10 per page is assessed. University Administration is exempt from this charge. The University Archivist reserves the right to refuse duplication of materials based on preservation requirements or copyright issues.
Duplication of Images or AV Materials

The archives staff will accept requests for duplication of image-based or AV materials only in such cases as copyright is held by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. If copyright does not reside with ERAU, the University Archivist must receive written permission from the copyright holder. Charges will be assessed based on the details of individual requests such as size or quantity of reproduction. |
Research Policy
The archives staff aids patrons in research requests. Requests can be made in person, via email, or by phone or fax. Public requests that result in research requiring less than 2 hours work will be conducted free of charge. Research requiring longer than 2 hours will be charged at $25/hr.
