FEDERAL PARENT PLUS LOANS

The Federal Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students (PLUS) enables parents with good credit to borrow on behalf of dependent undergraduate students enrolled at least half-time. Repayment can be deferred until 6 months after the student ceases to be enrolled at least half-time. The interest rate is fixed at 8.5%.

PLUS loan credit checks are valid for 180 days. If you apply too soon, there may be another credit check done when the loan is first disbursed. Please keep this timeline in mind when applying

To view our Federal Parent Plus Preferred Lender List you will need to go the the ED FUND Loan Portal webstite. Once there you will need to:

  • Click Parent of Student
  • Select a State (Worldwide Students please select Florida) 
  • Select a College - Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
  • Click:  Continue
  • Click:  View Lender Options
  • Scroll down to view the list of lenders.
  • Click on Lender to link to information about their rates, terms, benefits and other information
