Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia 30033-4097, Telephone: 404-679-4501) to award degrees at the associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s levels.

College and Program Accreditations

At the Daytona Beach Campus: The bachelor degree programs in Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering Physics, and Software Engineering are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) (111 Market Place, Suite 1050, Baltimore, MD 21102-4012, Telephone: 410-347-7700). The bachelor degree programs in Aeronautical Science, Aerospace Electronics, Air Traffic Management, Applied Meteorology, Aviation Maintenance Science, Safety Science, and the Aviation Business Administration programs are accredited by the Aviation Accreditation Board, International (AABI). The bachelor degree programs in Aviation Business Administration and the Master of Business Administration in Aviation program are accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).

At the Prescott Campus: The bachelor degree programs in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Electrical Engineering are accredited by ABET. The bachelor degree program in Aeronautical Science is accredited by AABI. The Aviation Business Administration program is accredited by AABI.

At both residential campuses: Certificate programs in Flight (private, commercial, instrument, multi-engine, flight instructor, and instrument flight instructor ratings) and Flight Dispatch are approved by the Federal Aviation Administration. The FAA also approves certificate programs in Maintenance Technology (airframe and power plant) at the Daytona Beach Campus.
