Glassman-Oliver Economic Consultants, Inc.
Daniel Kaplan (Ph.D., University of Michigan) is a senior vice president
at Glassman-Oliver Economic Consultants, Inc. He has done substantial
work in analyzing competition in the airline industry, professional
sports, cable television, and a variety of manufacturing industries,
and has been retained to estimate antitrust and contract damages.
Dr. Kaplan has also worked extensively on the economics of airports.
He has testified in U.S. District Court and before the Congress of the
United States, the Department of Transportation, the Federal Trade Commission
and the European Commission. He was the chief economist at the
Civil Aeronautics Board, where he provided economic policy advice to
the Board. He has written extensively on the airline industry.
Dr. Kaplan also worked as a supervisory economist at the Bureau of Economics
of the Federal Trade Commission and taught at American University.
Dr. Kaplan received his B.S. from the University of Pennsylvania and
earned his M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Michigan.
