2) What is the course fee? |
|
One question that is paramount on every potential student's mind is cost. Embry-Riddle bases the tuition for each course on the depth of the subject material and the learning outcomes covered in the course. Course costs are listed on the CPE Online Registration site. Course fees are non-refundable.

3) What are benefits of Self-Guided Online Learning? |
|
Some of the benefits are obvious. From the comfort of your own computer any time and anyplace, Self-Guided Online learning opens up educational opportunities that never before existed. Self-Guided Online courses also allow you to work independently and to learn at your own pace.

4) Is Self-Guided Online learning right for me? |
Self-Guided Online learning is a great option for people who are sufficiently self-motivated enough to sit down at their computer and work on their own without any instructor guidance. Students also need to be able to follow written instructions and communicate in writing, and feel comfortable with the technologies of email, the Web, as well as with using file attachments.

5) What kind of equipment do I need? |
|
You'll need reliable Internet access and a personal computer with Internet Explorer
browser (latest version). For optimal viewing of course materials and presentations,
we suggest that you utilize 1024x768 resolution on your monitor. The minimum suggested
resolution is 800x600. Visit the Blackboard Help site for more information on technical specifications.

6) How do I access my course? |
|
Once you have successfully registered for a course you will receive an e-mail that
outlines next steps.

7) When do I have to start attending class? |
|
Because this is a Self-Guided Online course, you may log on whenever you choose
after you receive your account information.
|
8) Is there a textbook for the course? |
|
All material needed to complete the course are located in the online classroom. Required readings and links to appropriate resources are provided within the course.

9) How much time do I have to complete the course? |
|
Each course availability time period is listed on the CPE Online Registration site.

10) Do I have to complete the course? |
|
Yes. To receive Continuing Education Units (CEUs) you must achieve a grade of 70% or higher on the final exam at the end of the course.

11) Will I receive verification of course completion? |
|
Yes. Certificates of Attendance are issued approximately 30 days after you complete the course and are mailed to the address you provide when you register.

12) Will I receive continuing education credit for the course? |
|
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) provides Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for successful completion of professional education courses. ERAU maintains an official transcript that indicates all courses completed and a record of CEUs awarded. This transcript will be made available to you (see below). You can also request a transcript be sent to your current or potential employers as verification of your learning.

13) How do I request a transcript? |
|
You may request and pay for transcripts on the Online Services page. This service requires your student ID (Colleague ID) and PIN. If you are currently a student, you can also request them through ERNIE portal services.
You may also request an official ERAU transcript by downloading the Transcript Request Form. Sign and submit by mail with payment or fax the signed request to (386) 226-6984 and pay online at the ERAU
Tuition and Fees site.
