About the Program

SIX SIGMA

Six Sigma is a Total Quality Management (TQM) system that uses data and statistical analysis to optimize operational performance. Developed by Motorola, the methodology is now widely utilized across business and industry, making Six Sigma certification a valuable credential in today's marketplace. The following certification programs address issues and challenges associated with the aviation industry, yet are suitable for professionals working in any industry.

 Green Belt Program

This program offers an overview of the Six Sigma approach, addressing the role of Six Sigma in an organization and introducing the five steps of the signature DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) process. Courses are conveniently delivered online, allowing students to complete the curriculum at their own pace. 

Tuition: $1600(USD)*

 Black Belt Program

This program provides intensive training in Six Sigma fundamentals and practical application. Students will learn the DMAIC process and explore strategies for enterprise-wide deployment, business process management, project management, lean enterprise and design for Six Sigma (DFSS). The curriculum includes all of the knowledge needed for this prestigious certification in a convenient online presentation. Note that certification will still require a practical phase under the tutelage of a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt. This practical phase can be done at the student's employer or ERAU can facilitate the process.

*American Society for Quality (ASQ) members receive $100.00 off each of the Six Sigma programs. Tuition covers the online training portion only. Additional fees required for ASQ certification tests and the required Black Belt mentorship project. Upon satisfactory completion, students are ready to take the American Society for Quality (ASQ) Six Sigma certification written examination.
