Indiana War Memorial Hosts Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Graduation for Indianapolis, Dayton, Cincinnati, & Louisville StudentsMay 31, 2007 – Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Worldwide Campus centers in Indianapolis, Dayton, Cincinnati, and Louisville will conduct commencement exercises at the Indiana War Memorial in Indianapolis on Saturday, June 2, 2007 at 11 a.m. A reception will follow in the MacArthur Room of the War Memorial. This year’s ceremony celebrates 46 students receiving undergraduate or graduate degrees in Technical Management and Professional Aeronautics and a Master of Aeronautical Science. The degrees will be conferred by Dr. Daniel Johnson, associate dean of the central region for Embry-Riddle Worldwide. Robert Gray, vice president of operational safety and planning for ABX Air, will give the commencement address. Gray joined ABX Air in 1979 as a dispatcher and rose up through the ranks as manager, director, and senior director before being named to his current position in February 2006. He works with the Federal Aviation Administration as a member of the safety management systems focus group, is a member of the Air Transport Association safety council, and sits on the board of directors for the Cargo Airline Association. Embry-Riddle Worldwide began in 1970 as a branch of the Daytona Beach Campus at Ft. Rucker, Ala., with 20 students, primarily military working adults. Since then, the program has become one of the largest off-campus, regionally accredited colleges in the United States, with over 45,000 alumni. The Worldwide organization educates more than 27,000 students through classroom, online, or hybrid undergraduate and graduate degree and certificate programs.
