Embry-Riddle San Diego Launches New MBAA Degree Program

San Diego, Calif., Sept. 18, 2007 – Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University – Worldwide is pleased to announce it is once again offering a Master of Business Administration in Aviation (MBAA) degree. The MBAA will be available at the San Diego campus through classroom instruction beginning October 2007.

This program has been completely refreshed and represents the very latest in relevant curriculum in courses designed to ensure the student receives lessons that are applicable to and appropriate for the contemporary aviation, aerospace, and technology industries.

The Master of Business Administration in Aviation degree program is designed to emphasize the application of modern management concepts, methods, and tools to the challenges of aviation and business. The special intricacies of aviation are woven into a strong, traditional business foundation by combining a specific core of distinct business competencies with a strong aviation foundation.

The demand for skilled professionals continues to grow in response to the increasing need for leaders who can manage the efficient and effective use of scarce resources, operate in an atmosphere of heightened national and international competition, and respond to the call to preserve our world’s fragile eco-system. The MBAA curriculum is designed to empower leaders and decision-makers operating in this environment.

The San Diego campus will launch the new MBAA classes with the October term, which runs from Oct. 15 to Dec. 16, 2007. The first class will be taught in a three-weekend format, with the following proposed dates: Oct. 20-21, Nov. 10-11, and Dec. 1-2.

The San Diego campus of Embry-Riddle – Worldwide offers undergraduate and graduate academic programs geared to the working adult in an accelerated format with classes meeting two nights a week for nine weeks, with five terms per year. Degree offerings include aeronautical science, technical management, management, and professional aeronautics.
