Joint Forces Staff College to host Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Graduation for Norfolk, Langley, Ft. Eustis, and Elizabeth City StudentsMay 23, 2007 – Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Worldwide Campus centers in Norfolk, Langley, Ft. Eustis, and Elizabeth City will conduct commencement exercises at the Joint Forces Staff College in Norfolk on Saturday, June 2, 2007, at 10 a.m. A reception will follow next door at the Officers Club in Marianas Hall. For more information, contact Chris Wilcox, Norfolk Campus Director of Academic Support, at (757) 440-5078 or norfolk.center@erau.edu This year’s ceremony celebrates 80 students receiving undergraduate or graduate degrees in Technical Operations, Professional Aeronautics, and Aeronautical Science. The degrees will be conferred by Martin Smith, Chancellor for Embry-Riddle Worldwide. Dr. Larry Jenkins will give the commencement address. Dr. Jenkins is a former Army aviator and is now a full-time Embry-Riddle faculty member. Embry-Riddle Worldwide began in 1970 as a branch of the Daytona Beach Campus at Ft. Rucker, Ala., with 20 students, primarily military working adults. Since then, the program has become one of the largest off-campus, regionally accredited colleges in the United States, with over 45,000 alumni. The Worldwide organization educates more than 27,000 students through classroom, online, or hybrid undergraduate and graduate degree and certificate programs.
