Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University – Worldwide Appoints New Director of Academic Support for Minneapolis Campus

Minneapolis, Minn., March 16, 2007 – Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University -Worldwide has announced the appointment of Mary L. Amlaw as the Director of Academic Support for the Minneapolis campus.

Amlaw was formerly with Northwest Airlines for 15 years where she developed initial and recurrent Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Human Factors training curriculum for Northwest and other Part 121 and 135 air carriers. A published author and popular speaker at aviation industry safety conferences, Amlaw was manager of regulatory standards for Sun Country Airlines and Champion Air, in addition to owning her own management training company, which developed training curriculum for Twin Cities businesses. She currently serves as a Federal Aviation Administration Safety Team representative.

Amlaw holds a bachelor’s degree from Winona State University and a Master of Aeronautical Science degree with System Safety certification from Embry-Riddle. As an adjunct faculty member for Embry-Riddle for the past two years, Amlaw taught undergraduate and graduate System Safety and Human Factors courses for the Minneapolis campus.

The Minneapolis campus of Embry-Riddle, located at 1365 Corporate Center Curve in Eagan, serves students from the aviation, aerospace and transportation industries in addition to the general business community.
