Message from the Chancellor

Welcome to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University – Worldwide!

Firmly rooted in tradition and poised for an exciting and significant future, Embry-Riddle Worldwide has a history and heritage of accomplishment and success. The campus has grown from its early beginnings at Fort Rucker in 1970, with 20 students and a single location, to over 130 campus locations in the United States, Europe, Canada and the Middle East - with over 27,000 students and 91,000 enrollments. Today, we are at the threshold of increasing global expansion.

After unveiling the new name and brand identifier for Embry-Riddle Worldwide in August 2006, I promised you that the Worldwide Campus would be the growth engine of the university - helping the residential and Worldwide campuses grow their programs and research, while contributing fiscal resources to keep tuition in line for all Embry-Riddle students. And grow it has…

Since then, our energy and vision have been a catalyst for substantial development and growth of the Worldwide Campus – and our renewed focus on global expansion. Our desire to expand credit and non-credit program offerings has begun to take shape in the form of new degrees in project management, logistics and supply chain management and the recent launch of the premier MBA in Aviation – with several more degrees underway.

Under the direction of our headquarters and regional Worldwide leadership teams, we are embracing three basic principles that guide everything we do:

• Provide an exemplary teaching and learning experience
• Excel in service to students and prospective students at every opportunity
• Invest in our employees and hire the best qualified candidates

Based on these principles, the Worldwide vision encompasses:

• An expanded offering of programs - graduate, undergraduate, and online - which are leading edge and responsive to the challenges in aviation, aerospace, and related industries
• Academic offerings that serve and engage both U.S. military service members and civilian students
• Flexible delivery of education, both online and in the classroom, that is convenient and relevant to working adults of all ages
• Unsurpassed student service supported by the best available technology

We are sensitive to the fact that the majority of Worldwide students balance existing careers and/or military service with their educational pursuits. They may be completing first or second undergraduate degrees, pursuing graduate education, or undertaking advanced training in their current fields. Or, they may be recent high school graduates who seek an alternative to the residential campus experience.
