Campus & Community InformationAbout our Campus and Randolph Air Force Base The ERAU San Antonio Campus is located in NE San Antonio on Randolph AFB. Our office is in the Base Education Center; room 4. What a great place to work and study... Randolph AFB is one of the few bases in the Air Force dedicated to instructor pilot training. Joint Undergraduate Navigator and Electronic Warfare Officer Training is also held at Randolph. The 12th Flying Training Wing provides air transportation and immediate response emergency airlift in the C-21A Learjet, and trains and equips its people to meet the Air Force's worldwide mobility commitment. Major tenant organizations include the Air Force Personnel Center (AFPC), and Headquarters Air Education and Training Command (AETC). Historic and beautiful, Randolph truly is the "Showplace of the Air Force." << Welcome to Randolph AFB >> About San Antonio San Antonio is the nation's ninth-largest city and the state's biggest tourism draw. It is located on I-35 roughly 80 miles southwest of Austin, and 280 miles south of Dallas. Houston is just 200 miles east on I-10; El Paso 580 miles west on the same highway. The area, especially northeast of San Antonio around the Balcones Escarpment of the Edwards Plateau, is known as the Texas Hill Country. The San Antonio River runs through the center of the city, and provides the setting for our top tourist attraction, The Riverwalk. Our most cherished landmark, The Alamo, is physically located in the center of town and spiritually within each Texan's heart. San Antonio International Airport (SAT) is 20 minutes north of downtown, located at Loop 410 and Hwy 281. It is said that Texans take pride in claiming two homes. They hale from one and often visit the other... San Antonio. Kelly USA Teaching Site (January 2004) The San Antonio Campus, with the support of the San Antonio Greater Chamber of Commerce Aerospace Committee, Lackland Air Force Base, the Greater Kelly Development Authority, and the Boeing Aerospace Support Center, opened a new SW San Antonio classroom location in January 2004 at the Kelly Club, located at 205 Mabry, Kelly USA.
