An Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University sophomore out to spread the word about careers in aviation plans to highlight a 20-city tour with an appearance on the "Late Show With David Letterman" tonight.

Jamail Larkins, 20, an aviation business student at Embry-Riddle and one of the nation's youngest air show performers, will be on the Letterman show at 11:30 p.m. .

Larkins started his 20-city nationwide tour flying a single-engine Cirrus SR-20 aircraft Jan. 25. His goal is to get middle and high school youngsters interested in a career in aviation, said Jim Hampton, the university's director of public relations. Students also compete in an essay competition. Winners get to fly with Larkins when he travels to make his presentations, Hampton said.
