How old were you when you first started flying?
I was 12 years old, when I took my first flight. I had a chance to start flying through the EAA Young Eagles Program.
How old do you have to be to fly an airplane?
You can start taking flying lessons at any age. To solo in the US, you have to be sixteen. To get your Private Pilot's License, you have to be Seventeen.
Why did you pick Embry-Riddle to go to college?
Embry-Riddle is the World's Leader in Aerospace & Aviation Education. Ever since I was twelve, I've been hearing about the university. Plus, once you visit the campus, you'll never want to leave.
How many hours of flight time do you have?
I have over 600 hours of flight time in over 36 different types of aircraft.
How fast have you ever flown?
I had the opportunity to fly with the World's Famous United States Navy Blue Angels in 2003. During that flight, we went supersonic and as fast as Mach 1.3.
What's it like to fly aerobatics?
The easiest way to explain it, is its like the "Ultimate Rollercoaster"! Imagine having ten times the amount of fun you've ever had on a rollercoaster, and that's what aerobatics is all about.
How do you make the smoke come out of the Embry-Riddle Eagle during airshows?
The smoke is an oil based substance made by Shell Oil. It's poured directly into the exhaust of the engine, and vaporized. The vaporized oil, produces the white smoke from the aircraft. It allows the airshow audience to see the airplane better, and its completely harmless to the environment.
What's the purpose of the DreamLaunch Tour?
The DreamLaunch Tour is designed to do two important things.
1. To educate youth about their career opportunities
inside the aviation industry.
2. To show everyone, no matter how big your dream,
you can make it a reality?
How often do you travel?
It varies, but I travel almost every week. Normally its for the DreamLaunch Tour, an airshow performance, or some-type of special event.
How are you able to be a student at Embry-Riddle University full-time, travel on tour, and perform in airshows?
It's all about prioritizing your time. Plus, with the support of your friends and family, anything is possible!

Do you wear a parachute when you fly?
I always wear a parachute when I fly aerobatics. It's required by the Federal Aviation Administration.
Can you come to a special event in my hometown?
