Dear Future Participant

Congratulations! Your desire to seek an experience in aviation and aerospace with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University places you in excellent company. Embry Riddle provides more airline pilots and more astronauts than any other university on the planet! As the Dean of the College of Aviation, I am delighted that you want to join them and us.

The Summer Programs are in the College of Aviation with your future in mind. This allows us to make opportunities available to you that are uniquely possible only in the College of Aviation. For example, the College has recently added the most sophisticated simulators in the world to its flight education and air traffic control education programs. The aircraft simulators exactly duplicate the Cessna 172, so that when you're flying the simulator, you're flying the airplane. That's how good they are! So, if you choose one of the programs in which flight is part of your experience, your flight lessons will be a blend of the simulator and the actual airplane. Being in the College of Aviation, you will have these opportunities. This means that you will be exposed to many of the same college-level activities as our college students.

I can assure you that the entire College of Aviation faculty and staff are eager to make your summer experience a wonderful and exciting one. All of us love what we do, we have a passion for aviation and aerospace, and we want to share that with you.
