The Office of Student Activities

The staff in the Office of Student Activities works to develop an active campus life by providing opportunities for students to realize their academic and personal potential through involvement and activities. The staff advises and oversees, The Student Government Association, Touch-N-Go Productions, The Avion Newspaper, Eagles FM Radio Station, the Homecoming committee, more than 140 Student Organizations, Fraternity and Sorority life, the Information Center, and the Volunteer Network. The Office of Student Activities helps students connect to the University through leadership development programs, student organizations, and other student involvement opportunities. The office is located on the first floor of the Student Center on the south end of the building

Aaron Clevenger
Director of Student Activities

As Director, Aaron is responsible for the overall efforts of the department, supervision of Professional Staff and the Student Activities department Budgetary Decisions and is ultimately responsible for ensuring that the needs of students are being met in the most efficient manner. Aaron oversees the registration and training of 140 student organizations, officers, and advisors. He is responsible for maintaining the Blackboard online management system that keeps track of the Student Organizations and is the University representative for the judicial rights and responsibilities as they relate to Student Organizations. Aaron also serves as the chair of the student portion of the Homecoming Committee.

Amy Vaughan
Associate Director -- Student Government & Leadership

Amy is advisor to all entities of the Student Government Association (SGA); the executive, legislative, and judicial branches. She also manages the SGA budget and SGA services. She serves as advisor to Touch-N-Go Productions/campus entertainment, and Task Force One. Amy also has supervisory responsibility for the Assistant Director of Programming & Leadership as well as the Student Government Office Coordinator.

Lauren Moran
Assistant Director -- Fraternity and Sorority Life and Volunteer Services

Lauren oversees all affairs dealing with fraternities and sororities including alumni/parent relations, housing, judicial concerns, recruitment, and programming. She directly advises the Interfraternity Council, Panhellenic Council, Multicultural Greek Council, and the National Pan-Hellenic Council, as well as individual members and chapters. Lauren also oversees the Volunteer Network and is involved with leadership training.

Karl Koeppel
Assistant Director – Student Programming and Leadership

Karl is the advisor for the divisions of Student Government including Touch-N-Go Productions the student programming board, The Avion Newspaper and the Eagles FM radio station. Karl is also responsible for designing and implementing learning opportunities for students to enhance their leadership skills through workshops, retreats, and conferences such as the Leadership Education Series and the Student Activities Leadership Workshop. Another program Karl runs is the Emerging Leaders Program for first-year students. He is also in charge of maintaining the Leadership Resource Center and the Student Activities Department Publications.

Anne Stokes
Campus Event Information Manager

Anne supervises the Information Center and distributes event information for the Daytona Beach Campus. She administers the online resource scheduler (Rooms and Resources) and coordinates the logistics for all events that occur in the John Paul Riddle Student Center and adjacent areas. She also oversees the sound and setup crews for these areas.

Rebecca Simonds
SGA Office Coordinator

Rebecca manages the Student Government Association office operations. She is responsible for coordinating daily operations, supervising the student assistants, and helping the SGA students maintain a functional office. She the department's budget coordinator, oversees many of the SGA run campus services including the Safe Ride program, the Class Ring program, and the campus banner printing policies.

Diana Holt
Student Activities Office Coordinator

Diana manages the Student Activities Department operations. She is responsible for coordinating daily office operations and supervising the student assistants. She assists with the department's budget, manages the advertising and posting policy for the university and compiles the People + Places News.
