Health Insurance2009 - 10 Student Insurance Plan HighlightsAll registered students must have health insurance (this does not include Worldwide Students)! Enrollment is automatic—your student account will be charged the insurance fee. Upon enrollment, all insurance information (your insurance card) will be sent to your campus mailbox. For those that do not have a campus mailbox, your insurance information will be sent to Health Services and you can stop by and pick up the information. If you already have insurance, you may waive out of the student plan—the waiver period begins July 1, 2009 and the deadline is August 31, 2009. The Student Insurance Plan offers you:
Who is Eligible? All International students and ERLI students by law and University requirements, must have health insurance as a condition of enrollment. This must be a United States based insurance with Major Medical coverage in order to meet residency requirements as established by the State Dept. If you have insurance and wish to be exempt from the University group policy, the deadline for providing proof of alternative insurance is by the end of the second week of class. To be exempt from the University group policy, please bring your policy provisions, stipulating the amount of coverage for illness and injuries to Mrs. Judy Assad (she is located in the Doolittle Annex Building). You may also e-mail your policy to her prior to your arriving at ERAU; her e-mail address is assadj@erau.edu. She will then, in turn, forward the information to the Health Insurance Coordinator, who will waive you out of the school insurance and your account will be credited. If you do not provide proof of your alternative coverage by the second week of class, you will be responsible to pay for the University insurance policy.
How to Waive Out of this Plan?Beginning July 1 - August 31, 2009, Embry-Riddle Students can access the Insurance Waiver online in Web Advisor. International students and ERLI students cannot complete the on-line
