FAA Airman Knowledge Testing Center
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Daytona Beach is home to
a professional state-of-the-art FAA Testing Center conveniently located
on campus in the College of Aviation (COA) Building, Room 133.
The Center provides FAA tests for Embry-Riddle students
and the community at-large at a discounted rate. Tests are provided
through LaserGrade, a computer testing specialist company. The FAA Testing
Center is capable of testing 15 candidates at one time and has five extra
cubicles available for hand-written testing. Embry-Riddle's
center is the largest LaserGrade testing facility worldwide.
Hours
of testing are year-round from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The Center's administrator is Betty Wilson, pictured at
right. Based on random
annual audits performed by the FAA, the Embry-Riddle Testing Center consistently
receives an excellent rating with comments such as, “This office is an example
of how a testing center should be run.”
In a potentially stressful testing environment, administrative staff strive
to provide a secure, professional, quiet, distraction-free testing experience
to each and every candidate. One of the methods used to monitor and improve
the test delivery experience is reviewing the comments provided by the
test candidates at the end of their exam. Our Testing Center is consistently
rated in the top 3 of 550 LaserGrade testing institutions worldwide
for providing candidates with excellent customer service.

Our Center is Also Authorized for FCC Exams
In addition to providing FAA tests for Embry-Riddle students
and the community at-large at a discounted rate, this facility is also authorized
to provide FCC exams (such as Element 1 and Element 3 licenses) and proctored
exams for certifications in various fields such as nursing, meteorology, business
marketing, physical therapy, electronic technology, and human resources.
