Special Opportunities for MBA Students

Internship Program

Embry-Riddle’s MBA program has an active internship program that provides a semester-long experience, complementing the student’s classroom knowledge with realworld work.

Recent internship opportunities have included positions with major airlines, airports, and aviation consulting firms. Embry-Riddle’s Career Services Office assists students in finding an internship in an area of the transportation industry that appeals to their career goals.

Aviation Operations and Simulation Lab (AOSL)

This lab offers a formal location for the development and evaluation of aviation/airline operational strategies and processes. The lab is used as a research and teaching venue across a number of disciplines. The operational situations and areas investigated by the AOSL include:
Testing and modeling for the airline and aviation industry, focusing on efforts to design and develop infrastructure required for today’s competitive environment.
Conducting joint research projects for regulatory and government agencies in airline operations and their impact on national airspace use.
Conducting joint research projects with other Embry-Riddle centers and academic institutions to design customized training programs to meet industry needs.

The Teaching Airport

This partnership between Embry-Riddle and Daytona Beach International Airport brings theory, practice, and public good together for the next generation of airport, aviation, and aerospace systems. Airport functions -- including operational technologies, practices, policies, safety, security, and the economic strength of the airport industry -- are investigated in the program.

The Teaching Airport provides a unique environment for industries to develop technology using a fully functioning airport facility as a testbed and also provides opportunities for student participation in these activities. Visit the Teaching Airport Web site...
