Aviation Maintenance Science Department
About the AS and BS Aviation Maintenance Science Degrees
The Aviation Maintenance Science (AMS) degrees are a fundamental part of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, America's most respected institution for aviation and aerospace studies. At Embry-Riddle's state-of-the-art facilities in Daytona Beach, Florida, AMS students receive their training in the ultimate learning environment. Students pursue studies toward aviation's most sought-after specializations, and enter the job market with certifications from the most highly regarded university in the industry.
Programs Offered
An essential part of the Associate and Bachelor of Science programs in Aviation Maintenance Science is the “hands-on” training you receive toward the coveted FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A & P) certificate. An additional certification program in Avionics Line Maintenance (ALM) is also available, and may be completed in as little as one additional semester. Both programs are offered through the Charles Taylor Department of Aviation Maintenance Science, located at the Daytona Beach, Florida campus. (Who was Charles Taylor?) The academic portion of the degree programs may be completed on campus, or some of the credit for the A&P courses (varies depending on degree) can be used toward a bachelors degree with the Worldwide campus.
